So basically I was fixing my cousin's laptop.
She said that it started to run slow and I thought that the HDD has hit it's age and I had one SSD with windows 10 on it so I put it in.
Immediately popped a message that there wasn't any storage inside.

I tried to change the BIOS settings from AHCI to Compatibility mode, just ot see if it will work.
But it didn't. It just froze on the black screen with the white line ( _ ).
You know which line I am talking about. The one on the top-right corner of the screen when you boot a system.

Online I read that the cable may be broken or damaged, but that wasn't the case 'cause the laptop boots with the HDD.
PLEASE HELP!

Solution
Use your PC to wipe the drive. Use diskpart's clean command on it. and then you can install it and load windows to it.
or use an external usb adapter/dock or your pc, to clone her hdd to the ssd.

UEFI is most likely detecting the foreign OS and blocking the drive.

I don't have another sata cable. Can I just format the disk with a windows 10 USB burn drive and install a fresh OS?
Also I can't clone her HDD right now 'cause my SSD is 120GB and her HDD is 640GB. I was just trying to see why it didn't want to detect the SSD, because if I recommend her to buy a new SSD/HDD and it doesn't detect it......well you know.

It worked. I used a USB with Windows 10 to first format the drive and then I installed a fresh OS. Everything is fine - the drive is detected and tere aren't any crashesh.
THANK YOU.
