I've been using an ancient Lexmark Optra S 1650 on an xp computer successfully for a while. It's connected via a usb to parallel cable. I stopped using it for a bit and uninstalled it, then I reinstalled it using the drivers in XP. It worked fine for a few jobs, then started printing gibberish.
I tried installing it on other computers, one with xp one with 7 32 bit (I ultimately want to run it on win 7) but it keeps printing endless garbage when I run a test page from the printer properties in windows.
I have tried both the windows drivers in xp and 7 (they have one listed as MS and one listed as PS), downloaded xp drivers from lexmark, and the same thing keeps happening.
Any thoughts?
