[SOLVED] LGA1151 motherboards

So i recently damaged the pins on my mb socket while attempting to replace the cpu, my question is.. can my i5 6500 cpu fit/work in any other LGA 1151 socket motherboards or are there specific boards these chips are locked to, thanks in advance.

Yes, it can work with any compatible motherboard.
For a replacement motherboard, you are probably gonna have to look for a used one, or one from a used market.
