I recently bought a laptop and it is everything i expected (ASUS Rog Zephyrus M)
The specs are:
-i7-9750H 2.7ghz (Runs around 3.7ghz)
-16GB 2666mhz Ram (Single channel)
-RTX2060 6GB
-Windows 10

I play many games and they all seem to perform well on the laptop
Fortnite meets my cap at 144fps
ModernWarfare meets my cap at 144fps

BUT

When it comes to minecraft with is presumably an easier to run game i only get around 70FPS and i have no clue why. (with optifine)

I game at home with a similar spec Desktop PC as well which gets around 1000fps+ also with Optifine.

I need help figuring out why my FPS is this bad
V-Sync is off
My Nvidia processor is running
Task manager GPU CPU or Memory is never running past 50% my temperatures are around 60c-70c. i have no idea what is causing this.

Anyone that can help please leave your suggestions... thanks :D

Solution
You need to go and allocate more ram.
If I remember right, you can open your launcher, go to launch options
click around until you see "JVM arguments"
Turn that on so it lets you edit it
First one should be something like -Xmx1G or -Xmx1024mb, just change that to like.. -Xmx6G

Should make it run much better.
