I've been trying to connect to my friends Minecraft Realms server for a while now, I'm able to join for a solid 5 seconds before timing out immediately. I've done everything I can to try and fix this, including port forwarding. But I am having trouble port forwarding it, since I have no IP address for the Realms server. I've been using online tools to see if I'm opening up the correct ports too (25565, 26000-28000, 80,443) and I've had no luck opening those ports, they always come up as either Closed or I'm timing out of them. This is a very big hassle for me, and none of my other friends have it. If it helps, my ISP is Telstra (Australia).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I set MinecraftLauncher.exe to allow any connections through it, and I'm still having no luck. And regarding setting up the ports, I had already done that.

Are you just talking about setting up the Minecraft launcher or Windows firewall? If you just set up the Minecraft launcher that could be your issue. You have to set up the Windows firewall to allow those ports as well not just the Minecraft launcher. Your router will also block most of those ports. If your running a full suite of anitvirus software that will also. You would have to set up each layer to make sure they are all allowing the ports through.

I used Windows Firewall and added multiple UDP / TCP rules that would allow all ports from 25565 - 28000 to be allowed through, but I still had no luck. I even turned off my entire firewall, and any port I try on 'http://www.whatsmyip.org/port-scanner/' comes up as "closed".
