I have two 120gb EIDE drives in my Dell 8200. I would like to either change out the
second drive for a 200gb SATA drive or add the SATA drive as a third harddrive
mounted in one of the empty bays.

I realize I will need the controller card for the SATA drive. My question is, is it
possible to continue using my EIDE drive(s) and have the SATA drive working together
in the PC.

Sure, you can have any mix of controllers and drive types in a
computer, though which drive is "first" in the boot sequence can get
complicated in some of the more extreme cases. You should be fine
with just adding a controller and cabling everything up.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have 2 120 gig SATA drives hooked up in a
Raid array, and on the 4 E-IDE ports I have two other HD's and 2
Cd/DVD RW's. Just make sure that you get the boot sequence correct
when installing...
