Question Motherboard shutting down immediately. I am trying to find out if it is salvageable.

Hi, my tuf gaming b550 plus won't boot with no signals or whatsoever.

This is not a new build. It was working all well before I changed some sata ports of HDD and SSD's. In that process I must have done something without noticing.

I have stripped down the case. Motherboard only has CPU with cooler fans, nothing else.

I have updated the bios to latest stable version with flashback. Update went the way tutorials said it would.

I also reset CMOS according to tutorials. (With clrtc) shorting.

I have tested the PSU with paperclip and it works. (PSU fan is spinning)

A different PSU and CPU is tested on the motherboard by a technician. According to them, result is same.

I have tested with a 8 gb ram. Didn't change the result.

I have tired with and without GPU. That's why in the video there is no GPU plugged in.

I understand that it have to be about motherboard. I'm just trying to understand if this is salvageable or do I need a new motherboard. What can I try to fix it?

Video shows it better

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x

Motherboard: Tuf gaming b550 plus

CPU fan: Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM

PSU: Thermaltake TR2 S 750W

Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro

GPU: RTX3070 GAMEROCK OC

If the technician was a professional, and gave you a prognosis what reason do you have to doubt their opinion?
The above questions are poignant, but I would like to think we can assume the tech knew this as well...

There are loads of inexpensive B550 boards out there. Consider how valuable your time is mucking around with this as opposed to spending towards even a used one.

Is this a new build or an existing build that stopped working? It's important to know the history of a problem, not just that a problem exists. And what GPU?
Its not a new build.
It actually started when I changed some of the HDD and SSD's sata ports. And that's because I wanted to insert a second M2 and that would disable sata ports 5-6.

After changing the ports, PC wouldn't boot up.

I will add the GPU to the post.

Thanks for answering

what the ASUS Q-LED (CPU [red], DRAM [yellow], VGA [white], Boot Device [yellow green]) said?

To be honest I don't fully trust their work. I said they are "technician" but really they are mainly doing smartphone repairs. İt's a little phone repair shop.

But then again, I know the problem seems a little obvious but wanted to what went wrong with the mb.
I could buy a new one but I can break it as well while installing 😀

They didn't give any signals as in the video. I actually tried to capture it in the video.

Have you tried running only the OS drive, with the others disconnected, and using only the SATA port that it originally used when it was working? It's good to simplify as much as possible while rewinding the build to before the issue .
Yes that's a great advice. Unfortunately I have tried booting up the PC while everything in their own place before the problem but wouldn't help.
Now I don't have any drives installed while I'm trying to boot, only CPU and CPU fan

So, just to close this, I have bought a new Mobo (MSI b550a pro) and everything works now.
I will try to sell my previous Mobo just to get it out of my hand.

Thanks everyone for their feedback.

Did you ever find out why it won't boot? I have the same problem after getting a "Recovery" screen
