I just found out that an old friend of my family has passed away. I say
"old friend," because we knew him for a long, long time, not because he
was aged. He was not. But Brad has died of complications from AIDS after
a lengthy illness.

I will miss him. He was a wonderful man, smart and multitalented and
funny, and the world is a little colder and greyer without him.

I send you my heartfelt condolences, Richard, on the loss of your friend, Brad.

My heart's sad because a good friend of mine passed away two weeks ago..

Judy was the first person I met when I first signed up for America Online, and
during our 4 to 5 hours AOL Instant Message chats, we shared a love of 'Forever
Knight', 'MacGyver', 'Stargate SG-1', 'Highlander', music, and most of all...
writing.

She was an accomplished, prolific, fanfiction writer, and she was always ready
and willing to share ideas, advice and she was just a wonderful person to talk
to, with a delightful sense of humor. We got along so well, sharing our
personal lives as well as our love for so many things, and we often talked
about getting together to take a road trip to Toronto after she was pronounced
cancer-free.

She'd been diagnosed with cancer in November, 2003... and after a short,
courageous battle, she passed away on Sunday, May 2nd, at her home, surrounded
by her family, friends, and the music of the artist she and I loved most - Rick
Springfield.

She was just 43... and the world's a little quieter since she left here.

Thanks for allowing me to share....
