Question My Ping Spikes wildly from 60ms - 600ms in discord and when gaming, SOS please help.

My Computer isnt plugged directly into the modem but i have a ethernet socket in my room, up until recently my connection wasn't that bad but now my ping is absolutely horrendous, most games say i have some sort of connection problems and im not sure if it has something to do with my ISP or something on my end.

i have Realtek PCIe GBE family controller managing my ethernet and im sure it is part of the culprit.

any help would be very helpful.

this is happening to me too. Discord will ping up to 5000, but if i leave and rejoin the server, its fine for like 1 minute before happening again. It's super frustrating as well because itll time me out of any games i try to play. I'm hooked up to ethernet too. after doing some ping tests, it seems to time out every 25 or so pings which is so frustrating. My roomate on the otherhand has absolutly no issues.
