Question My Ram is not detected

Hi Team,

I have a system with below configuration.
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
MB: ASUS PRIME A320M-K/CSM AMD AM4 uATX motherboard
PSU: Cooler Master MWE 550W,80+ White 230V
RAM: CORSAIR CMK8GX4M1A2400C16R DESKTOP RAM VENGEANCE LPX SERIES 8GB*2(16 Gb Total)
GPU: RX 6600

I have recently updated my GPU to RX6600, now when i try to check my DRAM status in Bios it just shows 8GB Ram. I have tried resetting my other ram, but it still shows as 8GB. Could you please suggest me what would be the issue. Thanks in advance.

This happened just after i installed my new GPU. It used to detect both the slots when i was using gtx 1060(3GB) variant.

And if you go back to your old card the problem persist?

No it is working as expected, if i go to my old gpu

I noticed one more thing, when i try to run my pc with single stick ok RAM which is not getting detected in BIOS, at that time display doesnt shows.

I was going to ask about what happens when you only use one stick, so there is no image when you use the "faulty" stick alone, but both sticks work well with the gtx 1060...

Yes exactly. When i use a single stick on first slot, it is working and display is also coming, when i use a 2nd slot with both the RAMs the display is not showing.

Motherboard BIOS up to date?

Did you remove GeForce drivers with DDU before installing Radeon drivers?

I have not updated Motherboard BIOS, i am not sure if i need to do that. And I have not uninstalled Geforce drivers yet, because i just observed this issue. Do you think this might be the cause?

You have to remove the Geforce drivers. Use DDU.

I am not sure what just happened, i reseat both my RAMs and now it is displaying 16Gb, not sure what was the issue that time. I will now remove the geforce drivers and install the AMD ones. Thank you very much for the suggestion
