Hi All,
I am currently doing some HDD juggling to move some data from my NAS to an external HDD in a USB 3.0 enclosure. I have connected my the USB3.0 enclosure directly to the NAS.
I'm only getting around 30mbps which seems awfully slow to me. I am not sure what could be the issue. The setup specs can be seen below:
NAS: Seagate 4-Bay NAS Pro (https://www.seagate.com/manuals/network-storage/nas-pro/)
HDD Enclosure: Orico 3.0 HDD Enclosure (https://www.orico.cc/us/product/detail/3518.html)
HDD: Seagate 6TB Surveillance (https://regalsecurity.co.za/cctv-ha...hawk-surveillance-hard-drive-6tb-sata-35.html)
I know that the NAS is pretty old, but it does have a USB 3.0 port so I was expecting it to be able to top out the HDD's write speeds which are rated 195MB/s.
I am doing the copying through my PC's file explorer which is connected to the same network as the NAS, I'm not sure if this could be an issue.
Any assistance would be appreciated, even if it's just to educate me on why it is the way it is.
TIA!
