So the other day I bought an LG 27GP850-B, I installed it and everything looked great. Then I tried hearing something from its speakers and NOTHING. I literally clicked and did everything imaginable, heck I even did everything LG support told me to do and still nothing. The thing that keeps bothering me the most is that you use the joystick knob on the monitor and you can hear it’s beeping sound when navigating that seperate menu, but when wanting to hear anything in screen like a video or game, NOTHING. I mean the monitor perfectly appears on the playback setting in the audio settings and it’s activated but yet still nothing. And I know something must be up because when I play anything you can see a sound signal being played in the playback tab but just no sound coming out of the monitors speakers. I will be super thankful for any new ideas I haven’t tried to see if it works. Wanna try everything in my power before I decide to return it

What cable are you using? What is the rest of the components in your PC, especially the GPU?

And let's be very specific about what you've tried before people start throwing out solutions and you say "I already tried that."

Cable: DisplayPort (that came with the monitor)
The GPU specifically: GTX 1080ti

Rest of PC: i7 7700k,

Asus ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA

Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB

I'm assuming you have the latest Nvidia driver installed that includes the HD Audio driver?

If you go into the sound settings, does the monitor show up as a device?
When I first booted it up that’s the first thing I did because it said it was the latest NVIDIA update. And does the monitor does show up as a device, as in the sound settings? Then yes

So I did a little more digging and turns out the monitor has absolutely no speakers. Sorry to have bothered everyone with this question
