What will be the primary use(s) for your build, what country are you located and is the monitor to be included in the budget?

It will be used for Office Work (designing, programming) + Gaming and it is for India (Mumbai). Yes, if we can include the monitor in it, will be better. Would prefer ASUS as the MSI/Gigabyte aftersales support is bad in my region

They listed an ASUS board right above the thumbnailed link... which seems to lead to the recommended board on Amazon India. But it doesn't look like ASUS boards, or at least not this one, are currently available in India, at leadt not on Amazon, so listing alternatives is valid. You can also google the board yourself and see if you find it somewhere else. Would do that for price comparisons anyways. Also, never had any issues with MSI PRO series boards.

I had MSI board for which the support center in Mumbai doesn't exist... they have to ship it to Delhi. There is no pickup service but have to go all the way to Lamington Road to drop it and they do not guarantee if the product will be repaired/replace or not. The i7 was recommended to you because for the mentioned tasks, you won't need more. Office work you could do on a i3-12100. Gaming, especially 4k gaming, doesn't require that CPU, either. It doesn't even require the i7 since the GPU limits the FPS with basically every single processor in the consumer space. The i9 is wasted money especially if you also want a screen as well. Also, about the support. That's the situation for almost everyone on earth... it's your country at least, some have to ship overseas.

For the board, no idea what you want that overpriced thing for, but this is the cheapest option I found.

GPU, unless it's some no-name China offering, everything goes, MSI, Asus, Palit, Gainward, EVGA, and whatever else. Pick the cheapest with support in your area. They are all good brands.

I concur on the processor part but for the MB, I always prefer an EATX especially for the extra space as it gives more room for upgrades in future and doesn't look cluttered. I prefer ASUS products 'coz they have s support/service center based in Mumbai. I am a die hard fan of corsair products as their aftersales support is top notch but this time i will be switching to the Lian Li fans setup for daisy chaining. In the meantime i will review the products linked above.. ty

Hey I reviewed the mb's but not inclined to any as they contain usb 2.0 ports (why invest in it when you are likely not going to use it). For cooling, i will prefer a radiator over a cpu cooler (my current setup has it). For the memory like i said i will prefer the corsair as their aftersales support is top notch. For the case i will prefer to go with LIan Li (PC-O11 Dynamic XL ROG) to best fit their AL fans to daisy chain them. I can lower on the GPU too but should serve the purpose for my dailty work.routine

I'm quite busy lately, with a big inspection coming up and having to do field verification almost every day. I can't be here everyday all day.

About your question, USB 2.0 still is a thing because there are still many USB 2.0 devices around. Like your mouse and keyboard, most likely, or headphones; even some older external drives. I still use an external 2.0 Blu-ray player. It's also cheaper for the vendor. No idea if there even are any boards with only USB 3.0 around. They do make sense to have. I'm also not really able to suggest any more mainboards right now. Corsair memory is great, I use some, too.
