Question Netgear Nighthawk won't allow cable connect to Pioneer VSX 70 Audio system

New Netgear Nighthawk R6700v3 . Multiple cables - all good but Pioneer VSX-70 audio system won't connect. Worked fine with old router. Loopback shows all ok, but still nothing. Multiple unplugging power cables from modem, router and audio system, starts and restarts, etc. but still no sign that the 2 can find each other. Audio system shows set up correctly onscreen etc. as well. Ideas?

Is there ONE SINGLE CABLE between the 2? no wall cabling involved?

For grinds, insert a switch between the 2 and watch the LEDs.

One cable.
Multiple wifi connections all working great. Have been accessing the receiver with iPhone and iPad for years with no problems. New router, there's problems.
