hi everyone, i thought i’d come and post here since i am well and truly stumped. i finished building my pc and go to turn it on and it shows no signal to the monitor. the fans did light up and spin, the rgb ram also lit up and none of the error code led’s stayed lit up on the motherboard. i reinstalled the ram and tried with just one stick too and it still didn’t work. i double checked that everything was properly connected to the psu and it still didn’t work. i’m not sure if this is the reason, but i’m only waiting around 30-45 seconds for some sign of life so maybe i’m just being stupid and need to wait longer? i haven’t yet completely disconnected everything and tried to reconnect it since that will take some time and i just want to check that it’s not something i can fix quickly. my parts are as follows
ryzen 7 3700x, msi b550 tomahawk, evga 2060 super, 16gb corsair vengeance pro, adata sx8200 512gb ssd, corsair rm650 psu all in a corsair 220t case. any help or advice would be appreciated !!

Hi Raniah,

When you turn on your PC, and leave it for a while, can you tell if it's processing? Do you have power LEDs on the front panel that indicate it's doing something?

If it is, I would suspect a GPU issue, as the PC has clearly boot. Try a different cable, monitor, different connection on the GPU if you have one. Check the power connections on the GPU to make sure they are secure and try another PCie cable if you have it.

If it's not doing anything, no signs of life other than the fans and lights, try with one RAM stick only (assuming you have 8gb x 2). Try reseating all RAM. Can even try reseating the GPU or try another PCIe slot, in case the top one is faulty fsr.

Let me know how you go.

Hello ! thank you so much for your reply

So far i have tried using a different monitor, using display port instead of hdmi, retrying the ram by switching the sticks and just trying one stick, reseating the gpu, trying everything again, almost all the stuff you said and i still haven’t got it to work yet :(( i haven’t yet tried using a different PCIe slot, but i will let you know if that was the issue. however i do not have any led’s that indicate if anything is processing, but i really really don’t want this to be a cpu issue :( i will try everything you mentioned again and completely disconnecting and reconnecting everything and if that doesn’t work i will have to take it to a pc shop i think :(

again thank you so much for your reply, i’ll make sure to let u know of any progress !

No worries at all, please do and good luck!
hello ! so sorry i forgot to reply, but it must have been an issue with the slot my gpu was in, or maybe a cable issue as after i moved my gpu to the second slot and changed the cable i was using and used my tv instead of a monitor it worked ! thank you so much for your help again !! have a great day :DDD
