Hi, I'm thinking of building a gaming system for myself using these stuff:

Are they compatible? All advice would be appreciated cause I have little experience in this. Thanks

Compatible, yes. A good build, not so much.

8GB of RAM is plenty for a gaming build. I'd get 2x4GB DDR3-1600 CL9 1.5V, preferably low profile.

The 680 costs more than a 7970 GHz Edition but is outperformed. Get an 850W if you want to SLI/CF cards that high-end though.

Chances are you don't need 3TB. I'd get 500GB-1.5TB and an SSD eg Vertex4 or 830.

And now; the granddaddy of the build. Piledriver. While it's benchmarks are coming close to the 3770K in highly threaded apps it still gets destroyed by any i5 when gaming. It's your choice, but the AMD chip also sucks power and as such makes a lot of HEAT.

Also note that newegg is throwing in 8GB of RAM free with various mobos, both AMD and Intel.

If you want to OC you want a decent heatsink. I'd be looking at the CM Hyper212 Evo if not pushing it hard, or the NH-D14 if you really want to OC it a lot.

Well the only thing I would have changed would be go to 8gig of ram instead of 32gig and going with a Sapphire HD 7950 or 7970 GPU. If the FX-8350 is any faster that the 8150 it will be a really good CPU.

I have to AMD/ATI rigs one with a FX-8120/Sapphire 6950 and another one with a FX-8150/Sapphire HD 7950 and they both are very good gaming rigs. Plus the extra money I saved by going AMD/ATI I was able to get my water cooling kit that I would not have been able to going intel, I checked the price of both and it just would not work for the money I had on hand. In the end it was a very good move and I can play any game I want at 1080p on ultra/high. And yes it would be a very good build not just a good build. But hey I do not need my games to run at 200 fps when my monitors do 60 and I have my games vsync'ed to 60fps.

If you're doing rendering then the 8350 is a good choice. If the software you're using supports CUDA (but not OpenCL) it may be worth going with a 670 or 680.

Any suggestions on power supply, casing and mobo? I think I'll stick with the 3770k and the 7970 ghz cos I'll be doing more gaming than rendering.

You want a PSU made by Antec, Corsair, Enermax, (some) OCZ, PCP&C, (some) Rosewill, Seasonic, or XFX. Your original one is great, though maybe just a bit small for CF 7970 GHz Edition. If you are only going to use one GPU then a 600W is fine, 550w is ok. Add another 50W or more if using AMD CPUs.

What mobo would be good for this case? There're already 4 fans in the casing so should I get another fan and heatsink for the i7-3770k if I want to overclock it? If I should get another fan, should I get a COOLER MASTER RR-T812-24PK-R1 120mm Sleeve TPC 812 CPU Cooler? And with that many fans would a 600W PSU be enough?

Fans don't use much power, and you shouldn't need any extra fans other than an aftermarket CPU cooler. Hyper212Evo or NH-D14 are both pretty good performance/price wise.

Well, the casing comes with 4 fans, one on top, one at side, one at rear and one at front. Do I need an aftermarket cpu cooler? I plan on getting the Hyper212Evo. I'm still trying to find a suitable mobo for this. Suggestions?

If you want to OC the stock cooler won't help much. If you're in the US newegg will throw in 8GB of RAM free with a Z77 Extreme4. Other than that I'd look at a GA-Z77X-D3H or something similar from MSi eg the Z77A-GD45.
