I'm trying to keep the parts price below $900. This sytem will primarily be used for gaming - please let me know what your comments and/or suggestions are.

Yay all you want but if that Chaintech board blows like the one I'm stuck with here you'll find dealing with them a very trying experience. A one-year warranty is nothing to crow about, especially when you have to pay return shipping and a $35.00 diagnostic fee when one of their V-regs melts. I'm not real high on Rosewill either. I'd rather buy Aspire in that price range. Or, get that case with a better power supply. 17a on the 12v rail pretty minimal. JMHO

It took me two weeks to find that out. And won't you be shocked when you open up your new $130.00 motherboard box and find NO INSTALLATION MANUAL! Instead they have a typewritten page that acts as "Quick-Start Guide" with directions to a web-site at the bottom where you can go download the "real" manual. How low-budget can you get? Never again!

It took me EIGHT MONTHS to find out about Soyo's lousy policy, they kept "losing" my RMA submissions! EIGHT MONTHS of sitting on a board I could have repaired myself, only to find out...I'd have to repair it myself!

Cybercraig - You got that same nForce4 Ultra motherboard from Chaintech and it ended up being [-peep-]? Hmm... interesting. And as far as the power supply goes, that's definitely my weak point when it comes to computer knowledge - I guess I could blame it on me not being anything even remotely close to an electrician. To be quite honest, and I'm embarassed to say, I really just look at the wattage (in this case 400), which I know isn't the best way of going about searching for a power supply, but then again I don't really know any better.

With documentation like that, sounds like they were just trying to rush something out the door to take advantage of all the nForce4 hype... maybe I'll stick it out alittle longer... (I hate having to be patient).

Eight months, Eight RMA request, and Six long-distance phone calls averaging over an hour each, for Soyo to tell me there was a processing fee for them to do a "free repair" on my motherboard.

Hmm... I would almost venture to say that free stuff from Soyo is worth 8 months of RMA hell.

No, I'm talking about a VNF3-250 board for a build I did six months ago. I was refering to a guy at Anandtech who recently bought their Nforce 4 board and ran into the manual fiasco. I wouldn't buy the Chaintech after this. As far as a power supply, I like <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=17-153-006&DEPA=0" target="_new">this</A> as a minimum (18a on the 12v rail) and Crash likes <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-962&depa=0" target="_new">this.</A> A name brand Fortron Source, Thermaltake, CoolMax, Enermax, etc. that supports a nice 12v load will help an A64. Remember that power supply standards are changing so do your homework on what loads you will have to support and what connectors are needed.

Awesome - thanks a bunch for the feedback... you guys is da bestest =)

Anyway, I re-did the list (well.. the case and power supply anyway), and ironically I picked that power supply before you suggested it so that makes me feel alittle better. Check out the case tho, that front 120mm fan is insane - at first I thought it was just for show or something (looks like a turbo jet engine), but it serves a function and looks like it would serve that function very well (keeping inside of case cool)
