Nice surprise from ATI

I recently sent my 9500 Pro back to ATI to have it repaired (under the warranty). Fed Ex stopped by yesterday (6 business days after ATI recieved the card/11 days counting the day I shipped and the weekend) but I missed them, so today went (well, actually my wife went) to pick up the card from the Fed Ex warehouse...
Much to my surprise the 9500 Pro was not in the box, ...however a 9800 Pro was! My thanks to ATI for the timely return (I didn't think I'd have the card back until next Friday) and pleasant surprise.

9600pro--- not as good
9550pro- POS
9700pro - discontinued
9800 non pro- you might yell at them and go "I HAD A PRO"

so 9800pro is the answer 😛 if u went a bit later u might have gotten a X600pro or something lolz

Maybe i should send my 9100 in and tell them it's broken. Since it was discountinued maybe they will send me a 9600. But i doubt it, they probably will send me a 9200se. sighhhh

That was obvious. BBA QUICKLY pulled the 9500 pcbs off the market some time ago since it was notin but a 9700 pbc. Surprised you didnt get a 9700 pro but now they ran out of that stock and had too many issues with bad pipelines.

9600pro is too weak and the 9550 is one way for them to make start the bitchin to corp. I would say the 9600XT but they are having stock issues with the 9600XT and got plenty of the 9800pros. Either way, good score.
