I have an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition (i.e. manufactured by NVIDIA) and a monitor connected via DisplayPort. After updating my system BIOS last night (to obtain security updates), I have no video until Windows loads unless I leave CSM support enabled.

Windows loads fine and everything works except that I can't see the BIOS loading screen nor the BitLocker boot screen. This issue is preventing me from enabling secure boot without losing video during boot.

Apparently this is usually a video BIOS issue. I have no idea why it would start immediately after a system BIOS update unless prior BIOS versions were leaving CSM support enabled in error.

Is this likely a video BIOS issue? If so, is there a way I can update my video BIOS? I can't find a firmware update for this card.

I'm not interested in reverting my system BIOS.

This is a Windows install issue based on CSM support. With CSM disabled + secure boot = need to reinstall Windows.
This doesn't make sense to me. Windows boots and works fine either way. The only issue is that I can't see the BIOS loading screen nor the (pre-Windows) BitLocker boot password screen.

Possibly fast boot related then? Your title suggested you're not getting display with csm disabled.
Sorry. I've edited the original post to be more clear.

I have fast boot disabled in the BIOS (which is also the default).

This has to do with pre-Windows video display and has nothing to do with Windows specifically. Even the BIOS loading screen doesn't show.

In any case, such a change in bios setting is freaking out Windows security. Just reinstall.
Oh right, reinstalling Windows is going to fix my pre-boot environment? Huh? I can't even see my BIOS version announcement screen. What does that have to do with Windows?

Never mind. I'm abandoning this thread. Whatever.

Oh yes, I plugged in an HDMI cable in addition to the DP cable. It did nothing. And I'm not going to revert to HDMI over this. Thanks, though.
