Hi,
Bought the following components:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Gigabyte GA-B450M Gaming Motherboard
Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 570, 8GB
G.Skill Ripjaws V F4-3000C15D-16GVRB 16GB (2x8GB) 3000MHz DDR4
Corsair CX650M 650W Bronze Power Supply

-Fans would spin etc but no video output from gfx card on either hdmi / dvi-d / vga
-followed checklist from the pinned no post / video thread except for reseating cpu since I was very careful with that
-Installed a little speaker to hear post beeps and get one long, 3 short which the gigabyte manual says is graphics card error
-returned the graphics card and same problem with new one
-Both gfx cards have interesting beep pattern: if no hdmi plugged in when power on then beeps only once (posted fine) but still no signal when plug in hdmi, and if hdmi is plugged in before power on then get the one long 3 short for gfx error.
-The gfx card is indeed plugged into psu (type 4 socket on psu into a pcie cable for gfx) and have confirmed cable is getting 12V.
-fan is spinning on gfx card
-no integrated gfx so cant use that to get to bios and try set the system up / install drivers etc, although I feel like you shouldnt need to install any special drivers to get to bios...?
-gfx card is well seated, as is the RAM
-have tried all RAM stick combinations but have not tried other sticks of ram since dont have any and not getting a memory beep error
-have tried clearing cmos
-there are no extra standoffs installed under motherboard
-yes the monitor / hdmi cable work

Getting really annoyed at this, any other suggestions of what to try would be greatly appreciated. From what I found looking online these parts should be compatible, so not really sure why its not working. Nothing seems out of the ordinary / intermittent with the mobo, fans on, lights on etc, but the fact that everything is new and not confirmed working 100% in another system makes troubleshooting this very frustrating.

Thanks

RESOLVED:

with a dvi-d to dvi-d cable (not dvi-d to hdmi or hdmi-hdmi) can get signal to monitor and see BIOS finally. Definitely tried this on the gfx card i returned so perhaps there was something wrong with that in the end

New intrigue:

From what I gather from wiki, ryzen 5 2600 would be pinnacle ridge, and looking at QVL on gigabyte b450m
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-rev-10/support#support-doc
and the pinnacle ridge series:
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_b450m-gaming_pinnacle.pdf

the RAM i got (F4-3000C15D-16GVRB ) isnt listed as having being tested, however F4-3000C16D-16GTZR is listed, the only difference being the CL speed and model i guess. on the g.skill websites qvls for these models
https://gskill.com/qvl/165/166/1536652516/F4-3000C16D-16GTZR-Qvl
https://gskill.com/qvl/165/184/1536044957/F4-3000C15D-16GVRB-Qvl
under gigabyte drop down theres an AMD option listed for the one in the gigabyte qvl (altho x570 not b450...) and not in the other.

How likely would this be to be the cause of these issues?
