No wireless after reinstall of windows XP

Have Dell Inspiron laptop. Used killdisk to wipe HD to eliminate virus and corrupt files. Installed windows XP and SP2. No wireless internet connection. Network page shows 1394 net adapter installed with correct driver. How can I find and activate wireless connection to the internet? thanks

I think the 1394 adapter is Firewire not network adapter. Look for the wireless adapter (presumably a mini-PCI device) and go to Dell's site for a driver for it.
