So I have recently had this problem where if I have NordVPN running and I download a file larger than a few GB, my network adapter just <Mod edit> craps out the bed. I've tested this numerous times where I'll have a Youtube video playing in the background and my task manager up to show when it happens and as soon as I start downloading the file, all internet is cut off to the machine. My router isn't the issue; I still get Wifi perfectly fine through all other devices and can stream no problem. When this happens, I try to disconnect from the vpn and then reset my network adapters but that doesn't work so the only way around it is to restart the machine. The connection to the computer isn't the issue because it's ethernet and the cable is functional. This problem happens only when NordVPN is running. I've recreated the same tests without the VPN on and it downloads no problem and with no interruption.
BLUF: When my PC has NordVPN running while connected to tunnel and I try to download a file larger than a few GB, it kills my ethernet. I then have to restart my PC. PC does NOT have this issue when I'm disconnected from NordVPN.
Anyone have any ideas?
