[SOLVED] Not getting 144 Hz option DVI plug in

Hey guys so I went into my display settings and nvidia control panel and realized that I cannot switch from 60hz to 144hz I have a gtx 1080 plugged in with a display port to DVI going into my benq xl2411z I had it check for new drivers and have my graphics drivers up to date and no luck kind of lost here any ideas?

It is definitely a dual link I can check just by looking if the holes are separated on the cable correct?
