Hey
Today i noticed that my power management is always on max performance and this caused high idle temp (65c)
I tried to change it to optional , after i pressed apply nothing happened, i monitored core and memory clock , core was on 1404 on idle and memory on 4006 idle i mean no application was running
I tried to have a clean installation on driver hopefully that fixed my problem and reduced temp To 44
Also memory clock was on 406 and core clock on 139
But right after I restarted my computer the high temp came back also high clock on memory and core , i checked the nvidia control panel , the only thing that was changed after restarting, was the power management and returned to maximum performance so I tried to reinstall driver again and fixed everything this time too,but everything will be ok as long as i keep laptop on if i shut it down or restart it the power management goes back to maximum performance
Please note that after restart only power management changes not other settings
I contacted nvidia but they wasn’t able to fix it
