Question Nvidia driver crashing Windows?

I cannot use Nvidia driver. its asus 1080 (not Ti) on a ryzen 2600x system with g skill memory.

Everytime i load windows onto my ssd if I dont disable the nvidia driver i cant use os plz help. I have to use Microsoft basic display driver. im rlly high right now, basically what happens when i download the driver it pasts the UEFI POST screen and right between the UEFI and Windows splash screen the monitor will turn off. This usually happens instantly resulting in having to reboot to safe mode and disable nvidia driver then i can boot out of safe mode.

Has this always happened with the card? Is/was anything overclocked? Crashes when a driver is loaded is sign of a failing card. What is the power supply brand and model?

psu is an evga gold 850w plus i cn load in safe mode

anyone else having issues with windows having to run basic display driver? setup is ryzen 2600x w/ asus gtx1080

what error are you getting when you try to install nvidia driver?

full system spec? include make and model of the psu

psu is evga gold 850w power supply. ryzen 2600x CPU and asus gtx 1080 strix
