So I'm browsing through new graphics card because mine isn't working anymore. I don't want to buy a card that forces me to change the power supply, motherboard, etc. Which model should I buy that's an upgrade from the 770 and that I could just pop the new version in where the old was?
Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670k CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.39GHz
RAM: 16 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
Windows 7

P.S. I found the GeForce GTX 1050ti, would that be a good replacement for the 770? Also sorry for the noob question lol

Solution

The 1050ti is actually a bit worse than the 770. You should be looking at something in the RX 470/RX 480/GTX 1060 range.

Motherboard/CPU won't be a problem, but I'll never make any actual GPU...

Motherboard/CPU won't be a problem, but I'll never make any actual GPU recommendation without knowing what PSU you're currently using. While GPUs are using less power, I have no way of knowing whether or not your current PSU *should have* really been running the GPU you already had.
