dammit i need this mobo in stock NOW, my friend thats gonna buy it comes to my country on october 5th, and if its not avialable before, im soooo screwed

i want 2gb of that ddr2 1066 from corsair.... too expensive though, so i think i might go with the 800 one, that has EPP of course

800 mhz is tons for overclocking.

1066 is really only needed for extreme OCing.
ppl with X6800 and all teh overclocking accesories (water cooling n shit) are the only ones who would really need 1066. I dont think you would see too great of a difference between 800 and 1066. i may be wrong though.

im not overclocking, i just wanted to have a 1:1 ratio, with 800 ill have 2:3, right now i have it at 4:5 (667mhz). i wants the kentsfield too :drools:

Senor I do believe you are overlooking one small point. Intel CPUs are quad-pumped in terms of FSB. So your 1066Mhz FSB on your prized Conroe is actually a 266Mmz FSB. That means instead of wanting DDR2-1066, you want DDR2-533 for your 1:1 ratio. To further correct you, I believe that the 1:1 represents FSB😀RAM, not the other way around.

Don't waste your money on anything higher than DDR2-800, you don't need it. Even for heavy overclocking, I wouldn't want anything higher than DDR2-800 myself. You are not going to be exceeding 400Mhz FSB, especially not with this Asus board.

I wish I got the treems when they were cheap but I bought some supertalants ddr800 which go to 1000 but they are expensive but now they are the same even after the rates of memory went up.

Anyway its the 15 sept today and still no info on the board , Nvidia isnt even helping the situation by saying anything on there website. I have had the cpu for about 2 months and still no board yet , its frustrating and honest to god I have wasted about anonther 100hrs looking for info 🙁

The New Revision (Predicted to be released on December) will have C55, for now, the P5N32 Premium will come with C19

Hmm AFAIK I thought nVidia tried to sneak C19 into 590 IE but companies said no and hence the delay. From the dailytech article they said it was suppose to release in Oct. Because of that I already bought ddr800 memory in hopes of some OC.

IF the mobo is released today/next week, thats actually pushing the timeline early... Do you have a link that states the initial release is still C19? I went through the pages that's after the dailytech article (sept 5th) I didn't see any info

Either way though, I can't cancel my order with excaliburpc since they stated once they charge me I can't cancel (#$@#@!!#%), but would be nice to at least take out the guess work. If it does happen to be C19, I'm gonna take my expensive memory and throw it into a p5b deluxe instead and perhaps sell the 590

Dont do that if you are not an overclocker. Here (Yes in this topic) we have many overclockers which are just coming here to talk really bad abotu the 590. just because it will not have C55. So dont make a bad decision cuz you might not feel satisfied.

Now, Im gonna use Corsair TWIN1024X2 at DDR800mhz with CAS4 cuz I cannot afford a more expensive memory. Is just crazy for me that im not gonna overclock but I want to ask the pros something, will this memory work great on this board? i really dont know anything about when you talk about ratio 1:1 or that stuff 🙁 sorry

Im gonna be around newegg, ZZF and TD to see if they have anything related to 590

you know the weirdest thing about alll this is the time this has taken.

We first saw the board about three months ago with a C19 and all the people that did review it gave it a good overall on performance and features but terrible on overclocking .

Now taking this inmind I think asus will have checked it inside out and would have put the Old C19 on the market within a month , thats asus for you but its been different this time, also it is being delayed and what have you.

Usually DFI is the last people to get a certain board out from a certain chipset so I think what Sir Shamino discovered from Vr.zone will be old news to asus and will have made some sort of preparations.Dfi usually learns from there competitors mistakes and betters the board.

The reason I say this is the price its being released at is at the highest in the core 2 duo , there are the workstations ones but they are usually 30% higher than anything Nvidia gets out.

It is all speculation and I hope the wait has changed things and at least made 400FSB possible then I think its been worth it.

There are 965 boards out there which are doing 600fsb so in front of that its still no big deal. But it does make it a reputable chipset.

There is this other thing and they learn from forums like this if the board is capable or not and Nvidia at the end has a reputation to keep and so does Asus.

I am not going to open mine until I see a review of it and if I dont like it I am giving it back , especially after all the delay that has happened.

I think its time for all of us to write a email to both parties envolved.

We need to stand up on this matter and be heard , I have emailed Nvidia and also emailed Asus.

I advise all to do this and lets get a answer on this matter.

*sigh* well I was planning to build my gf a comp too since she plays everything I do. Guess I COULD pass this board to her and get a better one by end of year 😱 still though, this is pretty big BS that I paid 15% premium and prob wont even get it sooner than from a reputable e-tailer for way cheaper.

Normally I'm more patient, but seeing how "in demand" this board is, I do NOT want to wait 3 more weeks after release to get my hands on one (like e6600 release, but back then I actually had a comp).

Anyway I decided to just chill and be happy when I do get it. Even if its still the same C19 from reference board, OCing e6600 to x6800 speed is still seems good (save 650+ if left stock).

 who am I kidding anyway, I'll be gaming at 1680x1050 and most of the load will be on my 7950gx2, stressing cpu OC ability sure makes me look stupid

You still have hope cos you have a unlocked multi , and Sir shamino showed what he could do with a unlocked multi .
He got 4.7ghz on it.

Its people likeme who have E6600 that will be worried and wont even get it to 3ghz. :x

lol ya I'm expecting to OC 2.925ghz, hopefully more, and god forbid nothing less. The wall is usually 325fsb :? If Asus can release a bios that'll unlock the multiplier like they did with p5b deluxe that would be sweet, but some how that doesn't seem likely in the near future. Did the new bios for p5w unlock mutiplier? I remember it not....

Sorry I know this is a tech forum and I wish to contribute, but my knowledge is limited and don't want to look stupider than I already do haha...that and i tend to babble 8O

There is an article on anadtech where asus released a multiplier unlocker BIOS for the P5B I think...

But what I believe is that the 590 will have that already, I dont know what but something tells me that ASUS will bring us a good board.
According to that zeus site, you can go up to 500mhz....

Either way though, I can't cancel my order with excaliburpc since they stated once they charge me I can't cancel (#$@#@!!#%)
Wow, I know not to shop there I suppose. Every online place I've dealt with over the years don't charge me until an item is "ready to ship". If it isn't in stock yet I'd be all over them to reverse the charge and then just order the new revision when it hits.

If you are a return customer to that vendor it should be a fairly easy argument to win. G'luck with that.

Im sorry dude, I think you have lost more then $40...

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=nforce+590

is obvious that is the P5N32-SLI

LOL looks like I didn't lose out on $40. I checked the shipping/tax for sake of comparison. $14.74 for 3-7 day cheapest ground, and $18.41 for tax...when they have an outlet thats 2 hours away from me. So ya realistically I lost out $9 if i went with tiger's direct instead. Although that "ships in 10-30 days" sure sounds like we're gonna be waiting even more 😳

I simply call and bug the crap out of them until they tell me whatever I want to know in order to get me off the phone. Whatever works, right? However, the only reason I pre-ordered the board was to get more information from them. I paid by "check," so they don't have my money, and whenever they do receive stock, they'll call me to get my credit card number (even though I was never planning to pay them insane amounts of money for it in the first place).

Anyway, my P5N32-SLI Premium boards should be shipping today or Monday (supposedly). I'll post once I get more information.
