If you've pre-ordered the ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium from Excaliber PC, you might want to check out these links:

Pre-order

Much cheaper

Sneaky buggers.

I saw that too. I was going to come comment on it myself. Only thing is, if you search P5N32 at their site, that cheaper link doesn't come up anymore. Funny how they removed it so quick. Not suprised though at the price difference. At least it means hope that it'll be out anyday now.

I've never seen a product go from "Newly Added" to "Discontinued" that quickly. Must be some kind of record...

Maybe that was their pre-eliminar webpage for the P5N32-SLI Premium like ASUS has the zeus site....

Possibly... or since the price is $236.73, maybe they jumped the gun in displaying their in-stock price. When I posted the original link today, the status on that page was "Newly Added", and now it's "Discontinued Product". Hmmm... Like Prkchpsndwiches said, hopefully it's a sign that stock is ACTUALLY coming soon.

Well doesnt matter, everybody makes mistakes.

By the way... Does anybody know why they keep delaying it? they said first september something and now they are pushing it to mid october... what is the reason for this? I think ASUS said that they had low quantities of this mothboard many weeks ago, now they should have fixed that problem dont ya think?

The 570 is not even in the list, might one of the 590 features be support for kentsfield?

Thats bad news for owners of P5N32-SLI (nForce 4 motherboard) including the 570 owners

Ok...some news..and bad news...I talked to excaliber pc and he said he just talked to Asus and they are saying next week...so who is actually surprised? I tried contacting ZZF, but their customer service line is terrible. They cut you off after you've aited for 10 minutes and make you leave a voicemail. I have left 3 at various stages in waiting for this motherboard and have not receieved a reply. I even gave them my e-mail on the voicemail so they wouldnt have to call me back. And still nothing....the one time I actully got through to them they were great, so I'll give them that at least.

I think this will be the last Asus product I'm buying. The setbacks are insanely ridiculous. They shouldn't have annouced this board so soon and flaunted out reference boards, if they weren't able to accomodate the demand. I've spent a lot of time waiting for this, so it's pointless for me to back out now.

*** UPDATE: I got a hold of ZZF, their ETA is still today. He said it may be possible they are still going to post it. If it's not up by 5:30 PST than it's not today. My guess would be no after excal's answer, but ya never know.***

Dont be that negative, ASUS will still be a great motherboard company, no matter what. Delays always happens.

Reputation with Tigerdirect went down because of the same reason, announced that they had lots of C2D, after 1 hours they only had less than 50 and the other hundreds of orders were delayed up to 3 weeks.

Interesting new update. www.computerbrain.com eta is 10/4. www.pcsuperdeals.com said they got 90 in yesterday and sold out and wont restock for 1-2weeks. Funny how they got them, but a place like ZZF didnt.

I dont believe that they got 90, maybe they got some but not that much. Well, they knew if they price the board $300 they would sold out in less than a hour anyways.

Alright, after becoming entirely disgusted with the inaccurate and/or lack of information available concerning the release of the Asus P5N32-SLI Premium, I decided to give Asus a call, again. After deflecting two or three attempts to get me off the phone, I was finally able to speak to an individual not only able, but willing, to provide up-front answers to my questions. Here are the "facts" I was given:

1. The board WILL be released [likely the end of] this week.
2. The board WILL initally support the C19 northbridge chipset.
3. The board WILL migrate to the C55 chipset around November.
4. It is currently unknown whether this migration will be silent or involve the introduction of a new revision/model.

It was unclear to him as to why our specific distributor (who will be one of the first few to receive the product) is repoting such a distant ETA of 10/20 (also reflected by the distant ETAs currently provided by several resellers). Therefore, I will be contacting our distributor in an attempt to unshroud this confusion. So, more information to come.

Finally, to reemphasize, this Asus representative was VERY confident when stating that the board will be released this week. Not that this confidence will likely represent much value for those of us who have been given this same "soon to be released" data for months, but it's the most confident information I've received thus far, so I'm going to trust it.

So much for trusting Asus.

Went to the Amazon website and noted that Office Depot states that motherboard is in stock. When I did a mock order, it stated that the MOBO won't be shipped until October 6th, 2006. What's the likelihood that Office Depot has the MOBO before the other big PC internet stores do?

Ok, I might get ganked for trying this, but I actually placed an order there. You can see the full page on office depot's site: techdepot.

They say they have it in stock... carefull tho, because when I ordered through amazon they charged my card already. Perhaps it would be worth trying for anyone else doing this to order directly from tech depot.

If you look on the techdepot site, it is indeed the correct motherboard and for only 250.00...sounds to good to be true right? Even more strange.... it's in stock? Ok, that absolutely sounds too good to be true...but I'll see I suppose...

I'll let you know if I ever get it.

I just ordered from Techdepot too. Everything looked legit. It states that orders purchased after 4 PM EST will not ship until the next business day (Which would be Monday) and I lso got 2nd day shipping. I'll keep you all posted as to the status.

I figured what the hell...if they are FOS then I'll just cancel my order with them and go with someone else.

Well, I ordered also. I called the number on Tech Depot and got one of their Sales people. I had him look up this item to confirm it was in stock and he confirmed it. Because of the time (after 4 ) it would not be processed until Monday. I will also let everyone know on Monday if it is shipped.

The confirming email address is from "Computers4SURE" - This seems strange.

Order Update: Tech Depot is now showing this Motherboard as "out of stock". I'm assumming that they did not have any to start with but I will know for sure on Monday.
