Wait until wednesday october 4. If there is nothing by that day, then this means that the P5N32-SLI Premium w/ C19 has been cancelled...

in the worse case

????? It has been decided to be released later cuz C55 might take some time??????

Woot! Finally some good news. I called Asus pre-sales again. I exaplained that I had all of my other components here and waiting and that I;ve been waiting for a long time for this board. He then told me that it would be out this week, and if not definently next week. I asked him if he was %100 sure on that. He agreed. I hope he's being honest. So it appears these next two weeks will finally be it.

OK...I'm a noob....sorry!
Can someone explain the difference between the C55 and the C19? I think those were the ones that were mentioned.

From what I've read you will be able to raise your FSB over 400 with the c55. With the c19 you can only raise it only to 250 or 300.

So if you are not an avid overclocker, this wouldn't be an issue, right?
My only concern in buying a motherboard is that a year or two down the road....being able to upgrade the processor some. Maybe I should have said ONE OF my only concerns...LOL

Thanks.

What follows is the first CONFIRMED release information I have posted to date. I just now received an update from our distributor indicating that Asus has CONFIRMED a shipment due to arrive on 10/4 in our distributor's Chicago warehouse. It typically takes 24 hours for shipments to be prepared for distribution; therefore, over-night shipping puts the boards in my hands on Friday. There are also orders in place for a California warehouse, but no dates have been confirmed as of yet for this warehouse. I strongly anticipate inital public availability sometime between 10/4 and 10/9.

If you are not an overclocker but you care about upgradeability I still do not recommend this board, why? because Kentsfield will need a FSB of at least 333mhz and this board wont go higher than 300mhz. So still, if you are the first one getting this board and use it with C2D, you will be stock with it.

Thats one important reason why im waiting for C55, it might also be compatible with Yorkfield :)

I got this from one online store....

The end of October is what we have been told.

Thanks, Matt

Another reason to wait... promising C55 results:

520MHz FSB with the right voltage adjustments, while the new generation NVIDIA MCP C55 lags slightly behind at 510MHz FSB. Both seem to be doing good, and I'm excited just waiting for these boards!

More interesting news...

Talk about fast to the trigger, we have heard that the DFI C55 + MPC55 solution will be assembled this weekend, and that the market name for the C55 + MCP55 is NF680I SLI. It will be 2 x 16x PCI-E of course, and we should be seeing another C55 project in the DFI Infinity line with C55 + MCP51, whose market name wil be NF650I SLI - sporting 2 x 8x PCI-E.

Another one I received today...

Hi,

We have ETA's between Oct. 10th and Nov. 10th. In otherwords, the warehouse doesn't know for sure when they will get them in stock.

Thank You,

WEll those are great news we thought C55 would only reach maybe 450Mhz FSB but is over 500mhz! Thx nvidia :)

Now if all this is true then it means we will have nForce 580 and nForce 650 well a high end and low end versions :) of course ill go for the 680 😀

I just hope DFI is not like ASUS which just lie and lie

Yeah but my question is... why did DFI announced first the new upcoming 600 series instead of nvidia announcing it first in their website like they did with the 500 series?

As they say patience is a virtue...

I've been waiting as well. Have almost bought all the other components I'll be using for new build except the mobo and cpu (possibility of switching to quad if it hits at the right time).

My patience is quickly wearing though, getting anxious for more power hehe. Now if I can hold out for these new boards my only worry is whether the new GPUs will be out around the same time (its possible). I'm almost wanting to go ahead and purchase two of the 7900GTOs since they're so cheap and are essentially GTXs. Then I'll have fairly cheap kickass SLI but wondering how much more powerful the new cards will be than current.

Hard choice when you have to make a build last a few years...
