I believe in November...but I think they are the higher end quads... I think January the more reasonably priced ones come out for consumers.

Yes mid-november is for the QX6700 which will be an extreme edition and also in january we will have a QX6600 which will be a normal price processor. you know like the e6400 and e6600

Any reviews on any of these Gigabyte motherboards?? The P965 and G965's?? If they are ready to go and you can upgrade to quad core down the road...maybe they have an SLi board among them! Or am I doing the whole wishful thinking thing again!!

Day 82, still no news of the P5N32 SLi Premium in the Big Brother House....maybe something intresting will happen tomorrow...but probably not.

Does anyone know where I can find info about the eVGA 90 day swap out program for their video cards? I glanced at their website and didn't see anything nor did I see anything on the NewEgg webpage for their 7950GX2 video cards.

Thanks!

One problem I can see with this program is that you will be without a video card once you send in your old card until they send you a new card. Their site makes it clear they will not cross ship the cards (i.e. ship you the new card before they receive your old card).

As usual, I am not sure what I will do...

I didnt like how you said that maaaaaaaaybeeeeeee

cuz is a yes :)

Ah yes you are correct, a little searching provides:

We have received some hints from a motherboard engineer who has been testing out overclocking capabilities of the soon-to-be in market ATi RD600 chipset motherboard and NVIDIA C55 chipset motherboard for the Intel platform. RD600 seems capable of hitting 520MHz FSB with the right voltage adjustments, while the new generation NVIDIA MCP C55 lags slightly behind at 510MHz FSB. Both seem to be doing good, and I'm excited just waiting for these boards!

The questions still remains though. Will Asus screw their first-adaptor customers over by throwing the c19 in 1st? And notice in the list Asus provided for Kentsfield compatability, no nVidia chipset made the cut, c55 or not.

They already screw their customers over by advertising a 570 chipset board that is actually an nf4 board. So why would they have any compunctions about screwing them over with a c19?

peace,
Aielman

Before you even consider eVGAs step up program, I HIGHLY suggest that you go to evga.com and go on their forums. They have a stepup forum there where you can see what people actually doing stepup have to say.

General consensus? If you actually expect to stepup when something new comes out, think again. When the new nvidia cards come out, you are looking at on average a 3 month wait to even send your card in. And once you send your card and have no computer to use, they can take an additional 2-3 weeks to send you a new one... But please, don't take it from me, go check it out on *their own site*... They say it's a 7 day turnaround on the info page I know, but read what people are actually getting. I mean sure, if you want some crusty old card, I'm sure you'll get that in a couple days, but if you want the hotest and latest..... sorry you aren't gonna get it quick. Odds are that when you finally get your stepup, a newer card is being released already. When I did mine, they sent a bunch out the day before the new one was released... I guess they wanted to make sure that you don't switch your order to the new one huh? lols

This isn't even mentioning the fact that the stepup card I finally got was DEFECTIVE.... I kid you not... If you don't believe me, I'm sure there is a thread about people getting defective stepups on there too.... I mean, sure, evga is the only one offering stepup, but whether or not you want to do it depends on your patience and frankly how much you want to be crapped on.... >.<

Oh yea... Just to give you an extra insight. For my RMA(Yes, they make me go through the regular RMA hurdles for a defective stepup), I had to pay for shipping it back to them and I am waiting for my replacement still.... On average it's a 2 week process or more.... Fun stuff huh?

Great input for everyone to think about!

I talked to excaliber. That stock is inlcuding the pre-orders. So the stock you see going down, is actually them putting to the pre-orders in to theird distributor. So the number really rperesents what the distrbutor has. So basically if you order it now, they may not have one for you just yet, although he said they may be getting a second shipment in later today.

They Have 15 Left at 3:31PM EST TIME. Dont Hurry! Remember they say it had C19 (For those interested on C55).

By The Way, I wonder why didnt they left the C19 announcement in the page?... because they might be scared of not selling them? :?

BY THE WAY

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO BOUGHT THE BOARD, PLEASE ONCE YOU GET IT, CHECK WHAT THE CHIPSET VERSION IS. NOT ONLY ME BUT ALL OF US WANT TO KNOW FOR SURE IF IT IS C19.

Thats why is going down so fast...

Hey Raffie, how come they dont know what the version of the chip is???? THEY SHOW A PICTURE OF ONE OF THE BOARDS OPENED COME ON!!!!!!!!! THATS MAKES ME ANGRY!
