[SOLVED] NZXT Kraken m22 100c Temps

Hi All,

My NZXT Kraken m22 temps go high as 100c when playing games like RDR 2, Battlefield V. Valorant, and GTA V temps are around 80-85c. Could you please tell me how to overcome this? Please consider the below points.

• My previous M22 started to produce a crackling noise and the warranty provided a new one.
• I have a Lian Li O11 D XL, and I have mounted the radiator on top of the case since there is no other place this can be mounted.
• I tried mounting on the rear of the case but the screw holes don't align with the case.

My PC specs:
i7 8700
16 GB RAM
EVGA FTW Ultra RTX 3080
Asus ROG String b360 F-Gaming

Is this due to the mounting position of the cooler?

Poor QC - it's probably clogged. You overcome this by replacing it with something else.

NZXT Kraken M22, Msi MAG + MPG Coreliquid, and Fractal Design Lumen... all the same OEM: Apaltek. The Lumens only recently came out, but time will tell if they suffer from the same problem.

A MAG Coreliquid was taken apart at the 20:50 mark... nasty.

I believe this pump on the radiator design is very bad architecture. NZXT M22 is the worst. I got this new one a couple of weeks ago and already temps are high. Maybe it's best to move to a corsair cooler.

Don't mount the rad at the top... that's about all that should be done with pump in rad units.
It's not NZXT, but the actual maker of the cooler using contaminated coolant.
The other Krakens are tried and true Asetek models.
