Question Old Ryzen 7 7700X working perfectly, but switching to Ryzen 9 7900X causes freezing and restarts ?

Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded my Cpu from Ryzen 7 7700x to Ryzen 9 7900x. Its started giving BSOD and freezing and restarting when on idle. Or i use some apps or use windows settings etc. It doesn’t give issues in stress test nor in games. But only when quitting games some time restarts. What could be an issue as i am frustrated i even reinstalled windows several times and even the gpu drivers started acting strange in event viewer but normal with Ryzen 7 7700x. Please can anyone help me.

ensure that your current BIOS version officially supports the 7900X.

The "Validated since BIOS" column says "all" for both of those processors. I would probably reset CMOS after the change.

Don't forget to go back into BIOS and reset your memory speed after that.

How do i reset my memory speed, please can you explain me in a small brief ?

Tried turning on ai overclock tuner / expo tweaked DOCP was set to ddr5-6000 40-40-40-76-1.35V.

That should not of needed changing if you reset CMOS it went to the default settings.

Sadly no luck now m trying to install win 10 and see if it goves me issues .

Yes i did that i removed the battery and reinstalled it but still same freezes and restarts
Is my cpu defective or anything because same freezes and blue screen happening in windows 10.

It worked now ill install windows 11 and see how it works thank you soo much everone for helping me out. a small mistake from me was making me frustrated
