Not really. We average about 20 murders a year in Macon and the surrounding area. Maybe 150,000 people. Generally 1 or 2 women killing their husbands for the insurance and the rest is black on black gang violence. The murder rate is higher than the national average though. My friend and his brother in law were really an anomaly. But it just goes to show you it's better to be prepared than not.

Ok I can't let you post southern rock without posting the band that lived and 2 of died here. 😉

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6up076lSH8

We have a really rich musical heritage. The Allmans lived here and Duane Allman and Dicky Betts both died a mile apart in motorcycle wrecks on the same street. Otis Redding ( I know his son ), Little Richard, Mike Mills and Bill Berry of REM, Jason Aldean if you like country although it's not really my thing. In fact the house I stopped my buddies from being mugged at is two house down from where Gregg Allman and Cher lived in the 70s.

Yeah I'm a bit of a spread head! They are from Athens. REM, Widespread, B52s etc etc. 'Alternative' was pretty much born in Athens in the early 80s. At least the US version. And Widespread was started there in the early 80s as well. I love some Widespread. The first 4 albums are some of my favorite music ever. I have seen them live about 10 times so I guess I don't really qualify as a true spread head lol. Just like the Dead they have a worldwide following who go where they go.

No other band on earth like them. They tour like 200 days a year, encourage people to bootleg their shows and never play the same set twice.

Sounds a lot like the Grateful Dead I loved their drum solos they were always different and one of the main treats for catching them live.

I love the Allman brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd such a loss loosing all three music contributions!

Remember, education and money can cure this:
NFL players: Three out of four own guns
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2012/12/06/jovan-belcher-kansas-city-chief-nfl-guns/1752195/

Now, for all you people who think being educated changes this, these are all college educated people.
Now, for all those people who think its a money thing, they all have more money than you or me.
Now, for all those people who think its an opportunity thing, the vast majority of these guys have been treated like prima donnas since their mid teens.

So, this is a cultural thing, and is taboo for certain parties within our government, and is why the legislation you see is mainly or exclusively aimed at other cultures, where a much much smaller impact would ever be seen.

Theres problems here, I dont deny that, but the guys I see here have the respect and capacity/training/knowledge to carry, tho you cant say that about many in the NFL even.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/e60/news/story?id=4421436

He hid his gun in his pants, it slid down, no safety on, no holster, he tries to stop it from sliding out, and he hits the trigger.
Why at a club?
Others there are jealous and carry too, not legally at all tho, and they take/steal or just abuse and harm others with "bling"
This gun isnt on those lists, never even considered to ever be, and the pols who raise cain about guns just wont go there

Canada too has a much more non colonial attitude and laws regarding guns.
Canada also has really only 3 or so large cities, where, if you broke down the numbers, my bet is where the vast majority of gun crime occurs.
Theyre much more laid back as well, at least where I lived, they loved the yank getting rowdy for team Canada during hockey season. 😉
And you cant mention Canada without mentioning hockey...OK, or beer

NFL players are educated?????

It depends on the University.
Many have great grade point averages, since not many reach the pros from college.

But, just like many, college and playing football are nothing more than one huge party to some.

OK, stopped it half way in.
I just talked to my grandson yesterday, telling him he needs to carry himself well regardless of what others think, to basically do the right thing, this of course wasnt the exact wording, but my intentions.

Notice I have yet to include his control/reaction towards a collective?
It was all individual, and yes, the collective mindset has come to Utah it appears, now for the second half

OK, had to stop again.
The part where the child, 6 years old is recommended to use the word nag instead of tell in the sentence:
My mom always _____ me to clean my room, if you even listen to the words the people discussing this learning tool/book, uses the words marginalizing, as in marginalizing the parents when using nags instead of tells.
OK, if your mother tells you to do something, out of respect, you do so.
If you use the word nag, you quickly remove any respect whatsoever.
So, when they even use the word marginalizing, it doesnt fit the bill, and I would argue theyve already been somewhat compromised themselves and dont see it, instead of using the word disrespect.

I would recommend everyone reading this to watch OMGs link, as its easily seen how disruptive this is, and imagine how much moreso it can be to some from a youtube video that isnt state approved, not that I condone whats going on from those books, nor their passage as required reading and formation of childrens approaches to life thru the use of language.
Effectively spanking/talking each time you say something eventually will reduce its effectiveness, and the very ones who oppose spanking instead encourage it strictly in their language, and why we see those less able to see thru this, or havnt ever had a chance at other POVs and are stuck using it.
But, when weve saturated this approach, and everyone is talking and expecting results as they were so taut , they will find regrettably the desensitization they unknowlingly have caused.
Oh, to be sure, there are those waiting in the wings to steer such people, and are encouraging using such methods as well.
If we then can see this in our society, where we at least are given the chance to discern such things, imagine adding God in a God led society, where such things arent as easily seen.
Yes, there are lines

Wow! Can't believe you guys have not only heard of them but have been to shows. I saw them the first time at H.O.R.D.E. in 1992 at Lakewood in Atlanta. The last time was about 3 years ago here in Macon on New Years eve. I would love to see them at Red Rocks as well. It always sells out though. And that is a pretty long drive.

To clarify who these people are, lets look at this link, a very liberal/progressive thing, a government funded/tax funded radio.
This is an agneda, not a common sense thing.
The weaker amongst us have taken it up as their cause, and o too I feel as things as it relates to the OP in our country, but mainly others, in like ways and forms.
Indoctrination.
Read my link, as a neutral employee of a national media asks about common core.
http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2012/06/12...
The guy from NPR is adamant that we have this here in my state, even beyond someone whos suppodely liberal, a democrat, and shows that Minnesotas standards and results are superior.
Yet this NPR man wont let it go, as if this democrat isnt doing her job by not adopting this indoctinational crap.

Now, place yourself as a young person, where God is everywhere and in everything, from the laws to the leaders, to the parents, where its OK to slaughter unfaithful wives and promiscuous daughters, and then watch certain youtube links.
So, before anyone dismisses this and raises their so called freedoms or rights to a complete and open level, I remember a time when certain things were kept from youth, and the always "theyll do it anyways" attitude, where I come in with, if its downsized and limited, its easier to se and follow such a problem, "freedom" be damned, or common sense be raised

Yet as weird occurrences have happened in our schools time and again, people say they all arent like this, but it appears the mindset is, which is not only foolish and small thinking, but dangerous as well.
Foolish meaning:
We are more than one agenda/mode/way.
It is no wonder why often the left use such denigrating terms against things that dont fit their agenda, where its usually only people not doing so.
This is why we see the metro thing going on, and is why emotions run so high.
Logic be damned, its how you feel and make others feel

Well I was bored this weekend so I decided to try something I had seen posted on a few forums. Basically I pimped a couple of guns and I am very happy with the result. How do you pimp guns you ask? With fingernail polish of course!

I think it turned out pretty well myself. I will be doing it to all my pistol magazines just because of how easy it makes it to identify them and see how many rounds are loaded.

All you need to do is buy some very cheap acrylic enamel bright colored fingernail polish and some non acetone fingernail polish remover. The non acetone part is important as acetone will ruin a guns finish.

1) Clean the part to be painted with some rubbing alcohol. This will get any oil or cleaner residue off and allow the fingernail polish to stick. I used a paper towel and then a Qtip.

2) Paint the lettering you want to be visible with whatever color you want.

3) Let it dry for 15-20 minutes.

4) Use a paper towel and wet it with the non acetone remover. Then just wipe off the excess paint. The paper towel gets the extra off the surface while the paint stays down in the lettering recesses.

I am going to do this to the rest of my black guns for sure. Probably would not look too good on stainless though. There are a bunch of good walkthroughs online if you want to try it. Just though I would share. Sorry about the crappy webcam again. I really do have a good camera somewhere. I think the ex wife has it though.

Pimping guns.. for show. Eh, I guess I know what magazines go with what by both vision and touch. I could see where you could get a 9 and 40, or 40 and 45 of the same gun manufacturer mixed up. Then again, change out the magazine plates. It costs a few bucks if you can spare the money.. but otherwise I guess the nail polish would be good too.
