[SOLVED] overclocking my new hardware

Hi Guys,

Can you help with what you would suggest to overclock my new parts coming tomorrow?

currently have an i5 3570 (old I know!) with a 1080 which its been bottlenecking for a while now so I got some parts to go with my 1080 (already have a decent cooler).

Can you suggest what some safe overclocks would be and even if I can with this setup and be safe? and also is it even worth to OC the GPU?

Hardware:

CPU - i7 9700k
Motherboard - MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus
RAM - 16GB DDR4 Corsair 3600mhz
GPU - MSI 1080
Power Supply - 750w EVGA 80 Gold+

CPU overclock should be under 80C while gaming and under 85C while stress testing. Max voltage is 1.4V.

With the Nvidia GPU I usually up the power limit as high as it will go and then create a fan curve were it's at 100% by 75 or 80C.

I think it's best to overclock with a board with more robust VRM circuitry
