P4 vs A64, for photo and video editing

Any suggestions on which one is better for photo and video editing? If so, how is one better than the other (in what ways)??

P4 generally considered slightly better for video editing, but Athlon64 no slouch either, and will play games better and cooler. I chose Athlon 3400 Newcastle + DFI Lanparty UT nf3 250gb + 1-2GB RAM, RAID 0 for scratch disk.

That's a kind of obscure question. What do you consider " for photo and video editing" to be? What software do you use/ expect to use?
