[SOLVED] PC crashing, black screen, and display glitches

My friend needs help with a problem he's having with his PC. His PC will start freezing when doing anything like browsing or gaming, especially when loading a programme up. The display will make a weird visual glitch and freeze that looks like this:

before he is forced to restart his PC via the power button. Either that or it will be a completely black screen.

Any ideas what the problem could be??

My friend has been having an issue with his pc freezing. It first started randomly when playing a game of csgo and whenever he is using his pc it will either freeze and display a weird visual glitch that looks like this

, or it will just show a black screen. It happens especially when loading things up and when it does happen he is forced to restart his pc via the power switch. At one point he also got message saying windows did not load correctly on startup, if that helps.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

full system spec? include make and model of the psu
check cpu/gpu temp

and stick with 1 thread

Edit: Apparently now the PC freezes and cuts power

look like gpu or psu or motherboard.

Maybe the power supply is not feeding appropriate voltage/current to the mobo
Or
Your graphics card is the problem
But if gpu is the problem then the PC should not shut down
So check with integrated graphics of your processor if possible.... if problem persists then it is the mobo or psu

Check with another power supply and if the problem persists then your motherboard is faulty get it checked
