I gave my old PC to my little brother a while ago with no issues whatsoever. He did try to clean it last weekend and after he put it back together he got the MEMOK error and told me he did try to reset or whatever the CMOS battery but with no success. I took a look recently and probably in the process of cleaning he somehow bent the pins on the MOBO. After removing the CPU and placing it back the error disappeared but still it was not posting. I switched to a laptop cause im in college so i had no other components to try the old ones on. I did however order a new MOBO and put everything back together. Still it does not post. I did however try booting without any RAM and the PC did beep. I was using the onboard graphics. Now the only 2 probable problems i see are either the CPU or the RAM.
Ill go to a friend with some of the components to test them to see what the problem is but i wanna hear from similar experiences or if you have a clue what the problem is cause im lost. The MOBO gets power so its not the PSU. The CPU is a 6700k and the MOBO is an ASUS PRIME B250. The ram is a 16gb kit(2x8) from corsair(vengeance lpx 2666mhz).
