Question PC is suddenly not posting and DRAM light is on

Hi everyone,

I’m currently facing a really strange situation. Long story short, I added a negative offset of -5 on all cores because I was planning on optimizing per core later. My PC was working perfectly fine for about 4 days, but then it suddenly switched off. When I turned it back on, everything lit up, but the DRAM light on the motherboard stayed on, and my peripherals weren’t working.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Reseating the CPU
• Reseating the RAM
• Checking if the pump and radiator are too tight
• Testing with a single stick of RAM in every slot
• Resetting the CMOS
• Flashing the BIOS to an older version
• Checking for bent pins on the CPU
• Checking cables from the PSU to the motherboard

I might have missed a few things because I tried so many…

I took the PC to a repair shop for diagnostics. They told me:

• My RAM posts on a different motherboard.
• My CPU posts on a different motherboard.
• Different RAM and CPU post on my motherboard.

They ran OCCT and saw errors in the Linpack test on the CPU, and suggested I should return it. But when I got home, I borrowed a different stick of RAM from a friend, and it worked.

Now, I’m super confused because:

• My RAM works on my friend’s motherboard and passed MemTest86 with no errors.
• My CPU passed OCCT with Linpack with no errors.

I can’t get my RAM to work on my PC. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
