PC not working

Hello everyone!

I’ve had my build now for about 4 years now and decided a few days ago to upgrade the GPU and PSU. After adding a 2060 12GB and 750 watt psu, the PC wouldn’t POST at all. The issues were characterized by the GPU fans not spinning at all, my peripherals not turning on, and constant RGB blinking on cooling dans. I brought it to a shop where an employee was able to fix the issue by reseating the components.

I thought the issues were fixed but after playing for the day, my PC suddenly froze and and emitted a loud buzzing noise through my headphones. After turning it off, the PC started having the same issues mentioned before.

Does anyone know the issue, and maybe a possible fix? The shop is closed on Sundays so I can’t bring it in again, and I’d rather not spend money again.

That sounds to me like you have some short somewhere and PSU just disconnects so it does not break anything.
That means you might have a hard time pinpointing WHERE is the problem.

I would start by disconnecting literally everything you can, GPU, peripherals, all discs beyond OS etc. Make it as barebone as you can, then try to start the PC, if it starts, turn it off, and connect gpu/second disc etc, ONE BY ONE, and start it.

While you do it, sniff components and give them a brief look, to check for burn marks and that burned smell.
while youre at it, make sure you have all the stands for MOBO, and they have those rubber rings.
check if any corner of the mobo flex more than others, just gently please.
