I recently installed an M.2 drive on my computer. My Hard Drive, 1 TB, had an installation of W10 already. I tried using software to migrate just the OS, but it wouldn't budge, so I had to install Windows again on the new M.2 drive, and formatted the old one. However, when I start my computer now, it always shows this screen saying "Which volume of W10 would you like to boot into?", refering to the installation of it on my M.2 drive, and also the old one on the Hard Drive. As I said, I formatted the HDD and it has nothing on it so does anybody know how to get rid of the 'boot into x volume' sceen?

Solution
  1. Because you had the old drive in when you installed on the new drive
  2. Because "format" does not get rid of the actual boot partition.
Since this is a brand new install, redo it.
Boot from your Win 10 install.
Delete ALL partitions on both drives. All of them
Power OFF, disconnect the old drive. Have only the desired drive connected.
Power up and again boot form the WIn 10 USB.
Install on this drive.
After, reconnect the old drive.
