Hello,
I have an ASUS z87 plus board, 760 GPU and 600 watt power supply, windows 7. The PC has been running fine for years, but recently it stopped turning on. The CPU fan would give one rotation before the PC shut off or sometimes nothing would happen. I unplugged the GPU and the PC turns on, I tried different slots and pulled the motherboard battery, no success. The computer will turn on with the GPU plugged into the cables, but not into the PCI slot. I’m not sure if the fans on my GPU should spin right away or only if it’s hot, but the fans aren’t spinning. On the board there is an LED light on for “boot-device” I’m thinking that’s because the card isn’t plugged into a slot. If it’s a BIOS issue I won’t be able to check since the monitor needs my GPU to display an image. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
