Hi folks,
I purchased a new GPU to replace an aging NVIDIA Quadro 2000D. I installed it in the computer, plugged in the PCIe 6-pin to 6-pin cable and attempted to power it on, but nothing happened. No sound, no attempt to power on the fans in the case, nothing. I unplugged the GPU from the PSU and detached it from the computer and the computer powered on normally. The machine will power up with no graphics card installed. But if I plug in the new GPU, even if it is not plugged into an open slot, it will not power on at all. Sounds power related! I'm stumped though, because my PSU is a Corsair RM750. It is currently powering the case (fans, etc, motherboard, CPU, DVDR, and three hard drives. It seems like it should have ample power in reserve. I have also tried leaving the 6-pin cable plugged into the PSU with nothing attached to it at the other end. It powers up that way, too.
GPU: NVIDIA GEforce 1650 Super
PSU: Corsair RM750
