Hi All

This is my virgin post on TH so I apologize for any jank formatting or missed procedures, I will learn. I appreciate your time and responses regarding this post….

I’m currently building a OG battle station and had a quick question regarding upgrading the RAM

Currently it has two of the three slots filled with Micron MT16LSD464AG-66CL2 AEL 32MB 168p PC66 16c 2x8 SDRAM DIMM sticks on an Intel AL440LX motherboard paired with a Pentium II 266MHz processor which I understand to have a 66Mhz FSB.

I would like to max the RAM out at 384MB using 3 x 128MB sticks of SDRAM to go in each of the 3 available slots.

I’m aware that RAM usually down clocks to meet the slowest stick and or the FSB of the cpu, My question is can I throw PC133 in there and will it reliably down clock to 66MHZ or is that pushing it too far and I’ll experience glitches and system hangs whilst gaming. Should I play it safe and stick with PC66 or would PC100 be a better middle ground of performance & stability?
Cheers!
