Hi!

My PCI-e cables from my PSU wont seem to fit into my GPU. I have the two 8 pin connected to the PSU but the 6+2 pins just wont seem to fit on the graphics card itself.
Ive noticed that one of the plastic "guiding" pieces on the cables (male) is different from the one on the GPU (female) is this a red flag?
Am i just supposed to JAM them on there or are the cables/PSU not compatible with the GPU?

PSU: AERO COOL BRONZE 750W
GPU: GTX 970 MSI

Uppgrade package, so everything is new except the GPU and PC-case. PSU was bought seperatly due to non sufficient power from the old PSU.

Both were bought new, GPU some 7 years ago and the PSU yesterday from store.

Might add that it seems like the cables themselves fit fairly well, but the plastic on the base of the male is too thick so it hits the edge of the graphics card.

Is this normal?
