Question PCIe/CPU connected wrong help

So this morning I needed to do some adjustment on my PC and I noticed something that mad me realize I connected, at least I think I did, to the wrong slots on the motherboard and gpu.
As you can see on the picture, this is an RM750e and you can see the slots for PCIe/CPU. I’m assuming the one on the left is for the GPU and the one on the Right is for CPU…. Well I think I made a problem. The chord connected to the PCIe slot in the PSU was connected to the cpu on the motherboard and the one connected in the slot of the CPU on the PSU was connected to the GPU. I have looked through the manual and there is no clarification about whether the slots on the PSU are actually different (PCIe/CPU meaning the left slot is for gpu and right slot is for cpu). I have used it for several days not with no issues. I have no clue how I mixed up those cables but I feel incredibly stupid now and worried I might have screwed something up. I’m a bit upset as well that the RM750e didn’t clarify this as it could be open to interpretation as well which is why I am struggling to figure out if this is fine or not (I.e PCIe/CPU could mean they accommodate both regardless of positioning) any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to fix this ASAP so I can start my exam for class. No all 4 of the PCIe/CPU ports can be used for ether. You can use those 4 ports in any combination between the CPU and GPU, if you only need 1 CPU plug but 3 GPU or if the motherboard needs 2 cpu then you have 2 for the gpu.


It the same for the SATA/PATA, you can plug any combo of sata cables or molex cables into those 4 ports.

Correct, both the CPU and GPU use +12v and a ground so they both can share the same plugs on the PSU. where they differ is on the end that plugs into the motherboard of graphics card, they will be keyed differently.

For the GPU you will normally get a plug that has 6 pins with a little 2 pin that can attach to the side of the plug, or a full 8 pin as on solid plug.

For the CPU that cable normally comes as 2 4 pin plugs that can be attached together to make an 8 pin.

Thank you! I really appreciate you helping. I kinda figured that it was fine but since I dont know a lot, I felt that I could be wrong. Also am I crazy; it can be interpreted differently right (i.e PCIe/CPU means the ports on the left are for the GPU and the right are for the CPU)? I overthink a lot so maybe I am just doing that here.
