Star Wars because it just looks way cooler then Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica.

Star Trek seems to be the slowest and you could be intercepted but at least you know where you are heading

Battlestar Galactica's ftl was just crazy. Antique compuers, next to non existing starmap, reload time and the possibility to jump into a sun/black hole/planet makes it the worst ftl system.

Early Trek movies had Star Wars SFX when going to warp, but I guess it was too expensive to do, so they dumped it. Now it's just.... oh... we're standing still, and now we're at Warp 9.7, and now we're standing still again. Also, I love how the speed of Trek Warp has changed with the years. Warp 9 can take you across half a galaxy in a week at one point and then can take you 70 years to get across a quarter of it at the next. And what's this about not warping in a star system? BSG's computers look like they couldn't handle a game of Pong without OCing. I have no idea how their warp drive works, except that it seems to be fuelled with leaded gasoline from their whacked out refining ship.

Personally I think that PS5 is gonna pwn Wii Cubed and XBox 3D. 2013 is going to be a great year for gaming. :lol:

He's coming back on SciFi Channel. I hope that he gets the BSG-type update. I'd love to see Flash turn down Dale because he has the hots for Dr. Zarkov, and Ming is ambiguous about his villainy and sexuality. :roll:

Actually it is on topic. They always seem to fall back on waiting for some kind of computer to calculate the next jump. Star Trek-plotting a course. Battlestar; waiting for FTL computers.

When watching "Star Wars" you may have heard:
Obi-Wan: How long before you can make the jump to light speed?
Han Solo: It'll take a few moments to get the coordinates from the navi-computer.
[the ship begins to rock violently as lasers hit it]
Luke: Are you kidding? At the rate they're gaining...

I go with Jumping Jack, but for different reasons. They had Jeri Ryan, and all that Borg stuff. Self advancing computers upon development of new tech? Why buy an upgrade, when the computer will do it to itself.

P.P.P.S. What I "really like" about Trek ship maneuverability is that you see the battlescenes where the ship is making fast turns, hitting this enemy ship, then swirling around, hitting the other enemy ship, etc. But then you cut to the bridge where the Captain is calling out coordinates with Shakespearean pathos, the helmsman copies and then executes. By this time, all the enemy ships would have ganged up on them and blown them to Stovokor. Let's not even discussed the oft-mentioned questions of why don't they plug fuses into the control panels to keep them from blowing up, etc.
 
A clear win for Penryn on mobile, desktop and 1P & 2P server systems.
Barcelona will win in 4P & 8P servers.
