Of course its 3Dmark05 but still.... I went from a 12,538 score with a KUMA 7750 @ 3Ghz to almost double with a 550 @ 3.5Ghz... amazing for a 99.99@ chip!!!! AMD all the WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

06 was made/optimized for XP...It runs on XP and gives accurate score because it was optimized so that it wouldn't be as CPU intensive as the older versions...Now vantage will not run on XP as it uses DX10 and will only run on Vista and Win 7...

Not really, i wish I could do whatever I wanted..... I multi-task and do 5-10 things @ the same time..Sending an e-mail to our partner companies, making fed-ex labels, Post on Toms (of course), doing the mail, sending faxes, make welcome packets for the new hires, submit all Office Depot orders, set up conference calls for Verizon's top executives, executive lunches... its just a long list...I enjoy working...... keeps me busy but can get exhausting at times....

i just ordered the x2 550be cpu with the GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P mobo last night.
i dont plan on overclocking much but i do plan on unlocking the 2 cores.

The Kuma is in my nephews PC...... I will post some benches later using the 7750....

As far as Vantage goes, I downloaded it and when it was time to install I got an error that said " Vista not found" installation will now abort.... so I guess it does not work with XP...... [:lectrocrew:1]

i plan on getting 2 sets totalling 8 gigs. going to us win 7 64bit.

i have a evga 8800gs sc card and a 250 gig drive that i am going to use also.

looking at blue ray players also. you can get them around 70 bucks without a burner. any advice on what one to get.
for my monitor i plan on using my 32 in tv for now.

As far as the BD player's make sure its a Plextor, LG Black or Sony... All the others are garbage....

i dont know if the speed of the reader matters but this is 4x and not 2x. i have a old dvd burner that still works so im not really worried about the burning part. most of what i burn are cds anyways i got smart with win 7 builds and made a bootable thumb drive.

Its ok, but if you plan on doing any overclocking past 3.5Ghz you will need an aftermarket....

The good coolers start at around 29.99$ USD.....
