So I've been having a problem for maybe a month or two and was hoping it was just something that would fix itself but here I am still with the issue. Anyways the issue I'm having is randomly my ping will spike to 2000+ for around 15 - 20 seconds it will cause me to lose connection to games if I'm playing them, or if I'm watching a video it will cause it to pause until the ping has settled, this issue persists wired and wireless. But here's the weird part about it if I have my modem (NETGEAR CM600) plugged in to my router (NETGEAR AC2600) connecting to it will result in having the ping spikes/ disonnects, but if I take another router and plug one end of an Ethernet Cable into its WAN port and the other end into one of the NETGEAR AC2600's (The router connected to the modem) LAN Ports and then connect to that router I will have no ping spikes and the connection works fine, I just cannot figure this out it is very frustrating and I would appreciate any help I can get, I've tried new routers, modems, Ethernet cables.

Have you disabled DHCP for either your NETGEAR or AC2600 when they're connected ?
I’ve not tried this since the only router having issues is the on connected to the modem even with just one router connected. But I will give this a go later today when I get off work, also thank you for your help.
