So about 3 months ago my pc personal built pc powered off. The second you hit the power button it flickers on for a millisecond before powering back off. So I assumed it was the power supply and got a new one. Turns out that wasn't the issue because it continues to power off immediately. So I figured it might be my motherboard. So I sent it off to msi and it was returned a month later. I set the computer back up and it lasted about 20 mins before powering off and now it powers off immediately again. So I figured maybe they didn't fix the issue. So I ordered a whole new motherboard, set it up, it got to the bios screen. I clicked the "x" icon. And now it goes back to powering off immediately again.

New mobo: msi b550 tomahawk max
Cpu: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
Psu: corsair rm850
Gpu: msi geforce rtx 2060 ventus
Ram: RIPJAW V series 16GB

Solution
I would recommend that you bench test the motherboard, and pay particular attention to whether or not there might be standoffs that are in the wrong place or bent pins on the CPU, because it sounds likely. Obviously there are any number of things that could be wrong though, but in this situation something with the motherboard or CPU seem the most probable. If possible, I'd try another graphics card OR at the very least, remove the graphics card, power on the system and see if it still flickers and powers off with no graphics card installed or if the system continues to run despite the fact that there will be no display. That alone might tell you something.
