Power Supply Amps

So I was looking over my GPU that I'm getting and I noticed that my Power Supply doesn't give enough amps. The GPU says it requires at least 30 amps on the 12v rail. Mine only supplies 28 amps, so I'm just going to buy a new power supply.

I'm just confused what I'm looking at, I'm on newegg looking at the specifications on power supplies. Is it the output that current that says +12V1@16A +12V2@16A +12V3@16A +12V4@16A does that determines the amps?

This PSU has 4, 12v rails at 16 amps each. Do I need 30 amps on a single rail or do those 4 rails of 16 add up to 64?

Also, Just curious to know how many watts/amps I should go over the minimum so I don't stress the power supply. The Card requires at least 500 watts with 30 amps on a 12v rail. So should I go up to 700 watt Power supply with like 35 amps?

Memory: 4 gigs
GPU: Nivida Geforce GTX 560 Ti
Crappy sound card
Dvd burner
and a case fan.

Is 500 watts really enough to run my rig comfortably though? I don't want to stress my PSU, and I also want a little room to upgrade RAM and maybe a new CPU in the future. Would 500 watts be sufficient enough to run an I7 CPU?

If you want the best psu for the money and it will hold the card even at oc the get the xfx 550w, new cpus tend to be less power demanding, the same applies for gpus.
XFX 550w or corsair TX650w(it is at 64.99$ after rebates if you want more juice) will be a good psu even for i7+670 gtx/7970

Yeah after looking at all three PSU's and reading some of the reviews I think I'm going to go with the TX640W corsair PSU. Thanks for taking the time help about, really appreciate it.

Usually the video card's listed requirements have plenty of overhead, if you get a quality 500w power supply, it will be plenty for your system I believe; not familiar with actual consumption on a 560TI, but a typical card will consume 75W from the slot and 75W for each additional 6pin connector (150W for each 8pin connector).

An off the cuff guess for "actual" power consumption for your system is probably around 400W at most (100w to the CPU, 225w for the GPU, and 75w for other drives and such).
